James Jameson (CaptionHub) took home the 2024 Innovator of the Year – Europe Award at LocWorld’s 16th Process Innovation Challenge, which took place on the 6th of June, 2024 at LocWorld51 in Dublin, Ireland.
James won the PIC with CaptionHub’s innovation “CaptionHub Live— real-time, zero latency AI live-subtitling in 130 languages.”
The runner-up this time was Aimee Ansari (CLEAR Global / Translators without Borders) with the innovation, “TILES (Touch Interface for Language-Enabled Services) is an innovative process for information dissemination designed specifically for low-connectivity low-literacy contexts”.
Second runner-up was Oscar Martinez Diaz (Loc&Capture Media Services) with the innovation “Mastering Quality Control: Introducing fly.qc – Revolutionizing Video Localization.”
On behalf of LocWorld and the Process Innovation Challenge, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank James Jameson and CaptionHub for their amazingly generous offer to donate the $1000 USD cash prize from winning the PIC to CLEAR Global / Translators without Borders. This kind gesture is greatly appreciated and thanks again to James and CaptionHub for doing this!
The PIC dragons this time were Véronique Özkaya (Summa Linguae Technologies), Gaëtan Chrétiennot (Six Continents) and Páraic Sheridan (VOISEED.).
