Tomas Franc(Moravia) became the 2017 Localization process innovator of the year for North America at the recent Localization World event in Silicon Valley.

Franc’s innovation looked at the area of editing in the cloud in a pitch entitled; “The Hidden Potential of Online Editors in Cloud-based CAT Tools”. This won over the audience via live voting.

The Runner-up and finalist was Remy Blättler (Supertext) whose innovative idea was in the area of AI and Translation memories, titled; “Artificial Intelligence TM and Terminology Onboarding”.

6 innovators were shortlisted for this event, out of over 20 submissions made.  These were: Remy Blättler – Supertext, Konstantine Boukhvalov – Experis-ManpowerGroup,  Tomas Franc – Moravia, Konstantin Savenkov – Intento, Christian Stanke – Applanga, Asu Su – IBM.
